L-Taurine

CAS# 107-35-7

Description

L-Taurine is the active form of one of the 20 amino acids that the body needs to produce the protein it uses for the growth and repair of muscle and other tissues. An athlete who consumes insufficient amino acids could suffer a loss of muscle mass and a compromised ability to capitalise on a bout of training. L-Taurine is considered a conditional amino acid, meaning that although the human body has the ability to synthesise it for itself, under circumstances it must be supplied by the diet or in supplement form. As a supplement, L-Taurine is popularly used to support stamina and recovery from exercise. Taurine is a popular ingredient in many energy drinks, such as Red Bull, which is where it is most known.
